FAQ: Tulayan Motion Picture Production Equipment Rental1. How do I book equipment from Tulayan?
You can fill out our rental request form on our website or contact us directly via email or phone. Make sure to include details such as your production dates, equipment needs, and budget.2. Can I request a custom rental package?
For now, we only offer fixed packages.3. Why are the student packages cheaper?
They are priced lower, because they're meant to support budding filmmakers who are still in school and working on academic projects. We know that student productions typically have limited budgets, so we offer discounted rates to make high-quality film equipment accessible. This way, they can focus on bringing their creative vision to life without worrying about steep costs.**4. What projects qualify for the student packages?
Student productions are projects that are required for an academic class, whether a thesis film, a final project, or any other reasonably school-related film project.5. Are there any restrictions on the projects Tulayan supports?
Tulayan reserves the right to decline rentals for projects that promote discrimination, hate, or any harmful messages. Clients must provide a brief description of their production's themes and concepts during the rental request process.6. How long is the rental period?
The rental period begins on the date and time specified in the rental agreement and is valid for 24 hours per day.7. What happens if I need to extend my rental period or return equipment late?
Extensions can be arranged, subject to availability. Additional charges will apply for extensions or late returns, and these must be requested and approved before the initial rental period ends.8. Is a caretaker required for rentals?
Yes, a caretaker is required for all package rentals. Foregoing a caretaker is subject to Tulayan's discretion and must be discussed prior to finalizing the agreement.9. How long can the caretaker/crew work during a rental?
The caretaker/crew is available for up to 12 hours per day. If the shoot exceeds 12 hours, the client will be charged an overtime fee of 500 Pesos for student productions and 1000 Pesos for professional productions for each additional hour begun.10.
